02.-03. SEPT
Between East Side Gallery and Oberbaumbrücke Friedrichshain/Kreuzberg

The East Side Music Days are a free-of-charge street music festival between East Side Park and Oberbaumbrücke and bring together the best, most bizarre, most entertaining and most surprising performances and artists.

...more than 40,000 people came to the area between Mercedes-Benz Arena and Oberbaumbrücke to explore and enjoy more than 100 live acts on a hot summer weekend. In 2014, the idea of a street festival as part of the Berlin Music Week was implemented for the first time. What started as “First We Take The Streets” is now called “East Side Music Days”. The festival is organized by Anschutz Hilft e.V. and sets a neighbourly highlight in the Friedrichshain/Kreuzberg district.

Singer-songwriter, human beatbox, handpan drummer, dubstep-choir or xylophone player - all genres and styles are welcome!

Established buskers as well as promising newcomers, local heroes, and international act from Europe and beyond - it's the variety of performers that provide the energy and ingenuity which make the East Side Music Days a summer staple.

With the exception of the mainstage in the centre of the East Side Park, all spots will have "real" street music conditions, i.e. no electricity will be provided on the street spots. There will be no massive stage pit that separates the audience from the artist, on the contrary: the communication is direct, the performance intimate. Just real, handmade music. A number of awesome street food stalls will make every foodies' heart beat faster with a selection of fresh, regional but also exotic dishes.
